The Sterling Group is a privately-held firm that develops,
constructs, acquires and manages income producing properties, specializing in multi-family
communities and self-storage facilities in the Midwest and select markets throughout the United States.
Established in 1976 by founder Larry Swank, Sterling began with a four-unit apartment building in
rural Indiana. Since that time, we have evolved into an aspiring and dedicated organization, now
managing thousands of multi-family apartment homes and a growing number of self-storage facilities.
Our existing portfolio includes multi-family apartment homes, single family homes and duplexes, senior
communities and student housing. We are currently pursuing new opportunities throughout the United States
through every facet of our business, including fee management and general contracting ventures.
We have broadened our commitment to the industry over the years with the addition of Sterling Management,
Sterling Construction, Sterling Development and Sterling Acquisitions. Through our vertical integration,
consistent performance and tireless work ethic, we have earned a reputation of credibility and trust. It
