Inclusive Workplace Statement

We at Sterling Group are committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Our inclusive, supportive climate enables us to better meet the needs and expectations of our colleagues, investors, customers and communities. We believe that variety of opinion, approach, perspective and talent are the cornerstones of a strong, flexible and competitive company.

Community Engagement Program

We proudly support colleagues who are passionate about giving back to the communities where we live and work. Through our Community Engagement Program, team members are encouraged to champion local causes that matter most to them. Each quarter, colleagues across Sterling’s multi-state footprint can submit sponsorship requests for impactful, cause-based initiatives. We prioritize efforts that uplift those in need and create lasting, positive change. At Sterling, community engagement isn’t just encouraged—it’s part of who we are.

Volunteer Day

We recognize it is our responsibility as good corporate citizens to enrich our communities and offer our colleagues the opportunity to make a difference for the better. The Sterling Group awards every colleague one day away from work each year to serve a societal cause of their choosing. We strongly believe these 3,200+ available hours of voluntary support are an important investment in our communities and in our colleagues’ personal charitable satisfaction.

Jaxson William Augustus Swank (JWAS) Foundation

Sterling Group proudly supports the JWAS Foundation, created by our founder Larry Swank and his wife Sherry in memory of their son, Jaxson. The foundation provides full scholarships for under-resourced children, from preschool through college. As of 2024, 22 Jaxson Scholars attend schools such as Holy Family, La Lumiere, Marian, and Saint Mary’s College, receiving personalized support to help them thrive and give back to our community. For a child lost, a gift is given.
