Glen Oaks East community gives back at the Kids Food Basket in Grand Rapids, MI

Our team at the Glen Oaks East community came together on Thursday, April 20th, 2023, for a fulfilling volunteer day. We dedicated the entire day to giving back at the Kids Food Basket in Grand Rapids, MI. Throughout the day, we engaged in various activities, including decorating brown paper bags, assembling lunches, and participating in planting and harvesting fruits and vegetables from their greenhouse. These nutritious lunches were delivered to local Kent County schools on the same day, ensuring that less privileged children had access to wholesome meals. Our involvement not only contributed to providing meals but also aimed to brighten the day of these children.
